Bytes of Technology: Microsoft buys GitHub, Valve defines what games it won’t allow, E3 means new games coming soon

One of the biggest technology stories this week is Microsoft’s acquisition of GitHub for $7.5 billion in stock.

GitHub is an open source code repository used by about 28 million software developers ranging from high school homework projects to massive international corporate entities like, well, Microsoft.
