I took a video of the cat today. Once I came outside, she didn’t want to be out anymore. Here’s what happened. Slow and rainy day.

Jalapenos up
I saw two of my Craig’s Grande jalapeno’s I got from Baker Creek via Redwood City Seed Company have sprouted.
Now if only the five other varieties of pepper seeds I planted would appear.
A great day for a traffic jam
Today marked the second day in a row that I-10 was a complete cluster-fuhgitabowteet.
It has started
I’ll be adding photos to the new Gardening 2012 album on Google’s PicasaWeb, which feeds this website’s Photos page and Google+ quite nicely.
Here’s some photos I took on March 2.
Carrots, melons, love + petunia
Next to bloom were the carrots and melons on March 1 and then the Love in a Mist (free gift from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds) and Petunia on March 2. Today, nothing new bloomed – so no new photos. Kinda chilly. Spent most of my day learning how to have a baby. True story. Then I planted some climbing cardinal vines, wildflower seeds and repotted a thing here and there.
The winner is …
Lilac Time Zinnias, from Pinetree Garden Seeds, were the first seeds to germinate this year. Last Wednesday evening, I planted 200+ seeds in trays and kept them on the porch and watered them every day, sometimes twice a day, and now I finally have something to show for it.
I found two little sprouts this morning when I watered them (yes, before work), and one of the Redcrest Cosmos from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds also germinated.
And it’s still February. Happy Leap Day!
When I got home from work, more of the lilac zinnias came up and so did some of the Lavender Queen Zinnia.
Yeah, so what. I took this photo during the commercial break of Modern Family. After dark.
Pruning the roses
Pruning the roses led to creating an impromptu bouquet.
